Just returned from a 7 week trip through New England. While in Ct. we had some severe rain storms . The bedroom slide on the passenger side leaked like a sive. The topper was not centered so the rain was draining right on the rubber on the slide. I moved the topper and added a strip of rough tape to the slide to make sure the rubber gasket comes out like it should when the slide is out. This slide never leaked before so I don't know what the real cause was.
On our way out of Maine the "check engine" light came on. We were loosing anti freeze. We needed to add 4 gallons to get to a Freithtliner service center in Branford, CT. The scroud around the fan came loose and cut our upper hose. The only cost to us was a $20.00 charge for overnighting the hose and flushing the system (since we had it open) total cost $111.00 and two days. It is still under warrantee. I am pleased at how they treated us.
We had a great time with family and friends and the Tourmaster still steals the show. I keep thinking that our Tourmaster will just fade into the backround in a campground full of motorhomes, not even close. Every time we drive into a campground people stop and watch us drive in and hurry to ask questions about it. We love our "BLACK BEAUTY"

Hi Adrian and Johnnie,
Yep, the TM still stands out as a nice coach. We were recently at a Provinvial Park in Canada. Overheard at another camp site: "I wish I lived in America so I could have a motor home." October we are going to MS/LA for a few weeks. Do you still have your home in Wallingford? Our property tax elimination on rvs didn't go too far in the CT legislature, but we will be trying anew in 2010. Enjoy. Charlie

Congrats on your trip.

Just had someone come up yesterday to say how much they liked the coach.

Yes, the looks and the questions we get with our 08 TM is kind of interesting. First question..."Who makes it?" Followed by, "You do not see many, is it made to order?"

Gulf Stream was nice enough to get me a few "By Gulf Stream" vinyl letter decals I can put on. So that at least will help the brand. (I still need to install them.)

Sorry to hear about your property tax deal. We are no longer in CT because of the taxes on EVERYTHING. When we retired we had to go. In TN property tax on 2,000 sq ft house on 1/2 acre lot $700  .
I had to fix my profile.

Yep! Gulf Stream does make some nice coaches. I have had real good luck with my Scenic Cruiser. Only when I first bought it, I had some shake down adjustments, but I really have not had any problems in the last five years. The coach now at 40K miles is actually just starting to break in to where everything runs smooth. I bought the coach new in 2003 and by just using dry wash the paint job still looks like the day I bought it. The interior of the Scenic Cruiser has always been fabulous with the Walnut cabinets, the beautiful ceramic floors and the huge mirror on the ceiling gives it that luxury touch.
