Reading the previous post about converting the manual leveling system to an auto reminds me that I do not like the way my manual Dewald works.

I would like to have one switch operate one jack. In other words, one switch for each corner. But, my Dewald has 4 switches, one for the two on the front, one for the two on the rear, 2 left and 2 right. The problem I have is when I try to lower one corner just a little the complete side drops. Does everyone have this problem, or am I doing something wrong?

No, you're not doing anything wrong. Mine is the same system and works the same way. It takes a little fiddling with to get it right sometimes. I agree, it would be better if there was one switch for each jack.

Yep, it takes a few extra minutes to level the coach when u don't have a control for each level. Mine work the same way and it does take some time to get it level.

On the Scenic Cruiser I have a switch for each jack. You can operate each individually. My coach come from the factory with Quadra by Big Foot. You can lower them all at once or operate each individually. I really like them.

That should be standard for all leveling systems.

If it was then there would probably be a lot of twisting of frames and popped windshields.
That was the reason they went with the two jack operation of 2side, 2 front, 2 rear to stop the twisting that was going on with the single jack operation.

There are advantages to this system, but if you are not mechanically inclined it is posible that you would have problems leveling any thing. I had lots of experience because as a railroad supervisor I had knowledge working with big cranes and how to set riggers. So to me it is a piece of cake leveling a coach. But the system is a lot better then the HWH which lowers two at a time. I had them on another coach I used to have and they can be a pain.

This is the way the system was designed. Many others are the same way. Power Gear systems on Monaco coaches had a single jack centered in the front.

As long as you get the coach relatively level with the jacks, you should be fine. Refrigerators arent as sensitive as they once were. Main objective of the leveling jacks is to make the coach feel solid when parked.
