Tire sizing question

What is the difference if any between a tire labeled 11R-22.5 10R-22.5 etc and one labeled 275/70-22.5 etc. Or is it simply a matter of old and newer sizing labeling?

What brand of tires are we talking about here. Are all three the same brand? All I know is that I had some Toyo tires installed about a year ago and they are 265/75 22.5 and they replaced Michelins 255/80 22.5 tires. The Toyo's seem to be a higher tire then the Michelins. Love the Toyo's. Smoothest tire you can have. Had them balanced with Equal and Air X valve stems were also installed.
I mentioned that different companies show different markings on the tires. Like Goodyears will show a G-and a number on their tires.
