Anyone with Tour Master 40c

Question on slide on driver side bedroom. When the slide is out I have opening all around the rack that the slide comes out on. If you look from under the bed you can see outside. Should there be a cover on this or are they all this way.
Seems like a strage design if this is so.

I have an 4 inch gap from the slide track middle I packed it with foam rubber to keep the cold out buts its open no flap there

There should be a flap as you call it. On my unit I did notice that there was a large space and I found out that it had fallen into the area underneath the bed along with the switch that allows power to the slide when the bed is folded up. Aloha RV in Albuquerque fixed it.
