I have a 2001 Ultra Supreme with a Triton V10 with 51000 miles. Has anyone used synthetic oil in this engine? If so I would like feedback.

Thanks

Gary

Just traded our 1999 Hurricane for a 2005 Ultra Supreme. I used Castrol 100% synthetic oil in the 1999 V10 for over 50K miles with no problems whatsoever. I started using it at 35,000 miles when we got it, and for the 5 years we drove it. I really liked it as I did not have to worry about doing oil changes while we were traveling. I will not offer any advice on useful mileage, but I did keep a close eye on the levels, and never had to add any between changes, or while we were on the road.

I have used synthetic oil in my Sun Voyager with no problems. I figured that the vehicle sits around most of the time, and the synthetic oil would lubricate the engine better when it is first started. I change oil every year or every three thousand miles. I also change the filter when I change oil.
