I have a 2002 Friendship with a Freightliner chassis and a Cat engine. There is a 110v three prong plug (male) located in the compartment (left rear) where the power inverter is located. It's cord is encased in plastic wire guard and tied up with tie-wraps. Anyone know what is for? Thanks!

That plug is for your engine heater. Use it in cold weather to warm engine when pluged into 120 volt or generator.

Thanks for the help; that make sense. There is a switch located on the side of the bed in the rear cabin labeled "Coach Block Heater see owners manual", which is ironic if you have ever seen a GS owners manual. I checked the 110v outlet in the power compartment and it is switched by the switch noted above. The block heater plug needs to be plugged into the outlet.
