We have a 2004 Crescendo 36' with 330Hp Cat. We have put 4000 miles on it since we got it in early May. I get around 9 mpg consistently (towing or not). Some trips have been 70-75 mph, some 65-70 mph.
My highest was 10.0 mpg, my lowest 8.5 mpg. I have not been rigerous about speed to find "the sweet spot" for mileage. No problems in the Tenessee mountains.

I have the 3126-E 330hp 860lbs of torque Cat engine on mine. I pull a Honda Pilot EXL which weighs 4400lbs and I get an average of 8.0 MPG.
I have 49K miles on my coach now and it seems like that engine is just barely breaking in. I just got back from a long trip and it was running great with all kinds of power going over big mountains. So it is a very good engine in my opinion.
I think you will like your Crescendo DP. But you will have some adjustments you will have to make. Don't care if it is a 750K dollar coach, they still have the same problems as anybody else (except) they like to keep it quiet because they paid such a large amount of money and still have the same problems everybody else has. Too much pride!
I saw some Crescendo coaches two years ago at the FMCA rally in Indio, California and they looked like a lot of coach for the money.
Good luck and go out an enjoy it.

We really like ours. I had to fix a few minor things, but so far it's been reliable, and we are pleased with it overall. We were fortunate to get one with all the available options, and I just tested the King Dome last trip (have DirecTV at home) and that worked as well. Iv'e been servicing everything since I did not get any records. Overall, we like it a lot, and have no complaints.

Yes, I have read where the ISB gets pretty good fuel mileage.
How do you like your Carribean coach. I saw one up at Giant RV in Desert Hot Springs last year and it looked really nice on the outside. I never saw the inside, but it had a real nice full body paint job.
OH! and how did you end up getting a 2011 class A Gulf Stream coach. I thought they had stopped manufacturing class A coaches until the economy picks up.

We have a Crescendo 8356, bought new in the summer of '06, 330 Cummins on a Workhorse. Not counting the delivery miles... we have traveled 49,351 miles with fuel consumption of 6285 gallons., so at first glance, it's 7.85 mpg.

HOWEVER, we must factor in the generator. 1500 hours at, let's guess, a 75% load and .75 gals per hour. That's 1100 gallons to run the generator.

SO, actual consumption by the Cummins is 6285 less 1100, net 5185 gallons, or 9.5 +/- mpg.

BeaufortNC, is your Crescendo the one with the engine in the front? I was just wondering because of the workhorse chassis. I thought all Crescendo's with the rear engine were on Freightliner chassis.
Man you have been doing some traveling on that coach. :D

It's a pusher, and yes, we have racked up miles. We've been to British Columbia, California, and other places in the west. We also do some work with dogs, so we travel to various events.

Hey, a coach is no fun if it sits still!! Miles is why you buy a diesel pusher, right?

You are correct. These coaches cost a lot of money to just have them setting around.
I didn't know that workhorse made a diesel pusher. Thanks for the information.

I'd sure like to know how you guys get the mileage you do. I have a 07 friendship with a cummins 400 towing a toad and the best I can get 6.8 per gallon. Just went over 12,000 miles on the engine.

11B, you should be getting better mileage then what you are reporting. Maybe you have a heavy foot
The 42' Friendship is a heavy coach, but all I have read about the ISL 400 is that it gets around 8-9 mpg.
Have you checked your air filter lately? Sometimes when they start getting dirty they start using lots of fuel.

It was most likely an untitled 2010 and just titled somehow as a 2011.

The inside is plain but nice enough for me . It isn't at all fancy but it does well for the wife's and my wants.
