I'm planning a trip from Seattle to Orlando and back in our '08 GS Supernova 6400 with my wife and four boys this summer. Our routing will take us through Yellowstone, Denver, OK City, Memphis, Savannah, and finally to Sanibel Island where a 3 bedroom condo awaits us; then back through New Orleans, Roswell, Grand Canyon, Crater Lake, and all the places in between. We leave June 18 and will be back in Seattle around Sept 10.

I am hoping for some sage advice; nothing specific really, just ideas and things to think of that our week long trips haven't prepared us for.

The basic idea is to stop every 8 hours or so for 4 days to explore.

I am also hoping to find a good shop near Fort Meyers, FL to get the rig healthy again for the trek across the south.

Any help will be much appreciated!

Sounds like a great adventure! Have a Seal-Tech test performed on your coach before you leave to elevate any leak issues. Keep your fluids (including house batteries water) checked regularly, use a good fuel additive, (I carry Power Service fuel additive, engine and generator oil, antifreeze, etc. in one of my bays all the time to top off fluid levels) and enjoy the family time. There is an International servicing dealer in Ft. Myers, their link is below:

Have fun!!!

Sounds like a great trip!

We have been travelig out West to TX and AZ the last two years in February to get away from the snow and freezing rain here in Indianapolis. We found that staying at some of the casino RV parks offer a great value and a little diversion in the evenings. We've stayed at the PrairieBand casino just North of Topeka on RT 75, 20 miles North of I-40 last fall. It was $15.95/nt full hookup + cable tv on level concrete pull through pads with access to there jacuzis. They have a beautiful casino with great food at reasonable prices.
We just got back from out west and stayed at Hollywood casino rv park between Hollywood and Resorts casinos in Tunica MS just south of Memphis, TN. Concrete pads with full hook up including cable tv with free wifi @ $12.51/nt with Good Sam membership. Access to indoor pool and jacuzi. Your choice of food between 3 casinos within walking distance and another 6 a few miles away. Also close driving distance with your toad to Memphis, TN.

We have a Costco Membership and plug in the Costco address in our gps and buy gas there with 3% discount to what is usually the lowest price gas in the area. Most stores are located near major cities close to the interstate hwys.

Just some thoughts for saving a few buck$!
