I have a 2007 5290 BT Cruiser and I am interested in installing leveling jacks to reduce rocking while docked. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience? I know with the LOW ground clearance on the BT there could be issues.

Any help is appreciated.

I bolted on two scissor type leveling jacks in front of the frame extensions, but they really don't do much other than act as stablizers. We had the factory add two extra springs (11 total) to the rear leaf springs and got a lot of benefits from this upgrade.

My 2009 5291 GX2 BT Cruiser has jacks. I presume the original owner had it installed from the factory. My coach and documentation are in a storage area but, I believe it's an HWH system. If you want details, I could check next time I go out to the coach. The control box sits in the floor at the drivers right hand.

Any information you have would be greatly appreciated! HWH seems to be the industry leader... I very curious about the mounting points for the jacks and whether they are swing down or drop down.
Cheers!

Okay. I plan to drop off by the coach tomorrow.

Patrick,

I had a quote from Bigfoot leveler jacks that was reasonable, but still too hard to justify the price. Best upgrade on a BT is adding two extra leafs to the rear springs. It rides a lot better and no more getting knocked around on the highway from truck drafts. It also gives some extra height and stabilizes the back end.

I went by the coach today. The control box face plate simply says HWH Hydraulic Leveling. The Operator's Manual cover provides a lot more information:

HWH Joystick-Controlled 225 Series Leveling System Operator's Manual
Featuring:
Joystick BI-AXIS Control
Hydraulic Leveling
Kick-Down Jacks
Integrated Control Console

I hope this helps you. I also hope somebody answers the question I submitted or at least redirects me to somebody who can.

This is all very helpful. Thanks!

What was your question? I looked thru the thread and didnt see one, perhaps I can help.

I entered my question a few days before yours. I need advice on mounting a handle or grab bar in the coach entry door. I'm new to the Forum and the BT Cruiser. It seems like a reasonable question to me but maybe I'm missing something.

Well, it all depends on the thread you posted it in... and what people are searching for...

I don't have a B Cruiser, but I do have a suggestion on the type of levelers that can be applied and that is BigFoot by Quadra. I have them on my coach and they work really good. Naturally you would not buy levelers as big as the one's on my coach, but they got all kinds. Each leveler has its own electric motor and they all connect to one reservoir for fluid. You can operate all four at once or individually.
