This afternoon when we came home the c/o2 sensor was going off in our trailer. The propane is shut off as everything else in the trailer. I opened the door and left it open for awhile and everything was ok, closed the door and in a little while the sensor was going off again. Opened the door for awhile and before I closed the door I opened the window above the sink a little. Went to church and out to eat and when we arrived home everything was ok, no noise from the sensor. Any ideas as to why this would be activated? This is in a 2012 23ft Visa RBK.

Thanks

A low battery maybe? If the 12 volt battery is low it can do that.

Thanks for your reply. Battery could be bad but it is only 2 mos old and the trailer is connected to 110. The volt meter I have plugged in shows 13.8 volts so converter is charging. Any other ideas?

Went to the Dealer this morning regarding the CO 2 Sensor and was told there has been some problems with them and they would order a new one. New one should be here in a week or so and in the mean time I have the CO 2 sensor disconnected. This should not pose a problem as we have no camping plans for the next couple weeks.

We had the same problem with the combo propane/CO detector in our 23RBK. The dealer installed a new unit, and it appears to have solved the problem.

Dealer called yesterday new sensor was in so went and picked it up and installed my self rather than dragging the camper over. Sensor went all day with our sounding. I noticed the date on the old sensor was March and the new one was April. Do you know the dates on yours Jandmz?

It has been four months since I installed the new c/o 2 sensor in our 23RBK and it looks as if problem is solved. Sensor must have been made on Friday afternoon. Since purchase of the trailer we have only used it twice. No idea where the summer went but it is over.

We will be living in the Visa this winter so will have plenty of time to see how we like it. We spent the last two winters in a 16ft Scamp so the 23 RBK with a slide and a full size bed will be a real treat.
