Slide in Bedroom Problem

I own a 2008 T40A Tour Master.

I am having a problem with the passenger side bedroom slide.

The slide goes in and out OK.

when the slide is out there is a fabric or something that looks like fabric on the under side of the slide where you can see the 3 sets of rollers. The problem is on the front most part of the slide The fabric came loose and was hanging down from the wood above it and is not smooth like the rest of the fabric and is crinkled up. I put a piece of aluminum about 1" wide by 1/16" thick drilled and screwed it to the wood to capture the fabric and secure it to the underside of the slide.

Has anyone had a similar problem, and if so how did you repair it.

I have 2006 Crescendo 8356 with 2 slides; the one in the bedroom comes out about 20” and has 3 rollers.
I had the same problem and an Email from Gulfstream said “The repair is to place ABS runner at the roller placement to prevent further damage.”
I fixed it this way. See picture. Danger: shim stock will cut you.
I got some 6” wide stainless steel “shim stock” 0.010” thick, and used Silicone sealant/ adhesive to stick it to the bottom of the slide.
I extended the slide, cut a 2X6 about an inch shorter than the distance from the roller to the outer edge,
I jacked up the slide, using the 2X6 to spread the weight, next to the area that the roller goes until the roller was free and there was a gap to be able to put the shim stock in. I cut the shim stock to fit an inch behind the roller and to about an inch short of the outside of the slide and rounded the corners. I cut away the fabric on the underside of the slide the width of the roller and from the roller to area that the roller is when it is retracted. I dry fitted the shim stock and marked where I wanted it with a felt pen.
I put some Silicone sealant on the end of the shim stock that went under the roller, slid it between the roller and underside of the slide, I lined it up with the felt pen marks and let down the jack to pinch the shim stock by the roller. I then put a thin coat of Silicone sealant all around between the fabric and the wood. I ran a bead of Silicone sealant all over the shim stock, stuck it up and put the 2X6 on it, put the jack under it to squeeze it flat with just enough push and not to lift it off the roller. I left it for about 3 hrs to dry.

Did you do this for all 3 of the rollers.

On the other end of the slide, the roller had eaten into the wood for whatever reason, so I cut the wood out down to the aluminum frame and replaced it with piece of 6” wide stainless steel sheet metal about 0.032” thick, more or less the same way as the other end. The center roller just touches now and has not done anything yet.

I'm not sure I understand where you removed the wood. Did you remove a piece of it under the stainless steel that you attached, and if so, did you put some wood back in it's place before attaching the stainless steel strip?

The wood is only 1/4" thick so I removed it all under the steel plate.
