hot water looks and smells funny

i have 06 unused fema camper and for some reason the hot water is foamy and smells funny. i have drained the tank completely and iy still does it. the cold water is fine. i have it hooked up to a spicket so its getting fresh water. what could be the problem??? thanks benji

Maybe the tank was used for sewage? They don't have a sewage tank do they? maybe someone rigged it to be the holding tank. I'm just guessing. Ew. I hope not. Better look.

try some CLR to clean\disinfect? if they have a used up sacrificial anode [doubt it in aluminum tank]? will do same thing.
