It has been published on the FMCA magazine of a recall on certain coaches:

Gulf Stream has announced NHTSA recall 12V105000, which affects 2001 through 2005 model year Conquest, Ultra, and Yellowstone: 2002 and 2003 model year Cavalier: 2003- 2005 model year Independence and 2004-2005 model year Endura motor homes with floor plans 6316, 6317, 6330, 8325, and 8328 built from january 5 2001, through Maerch 14 2005. Potential amount of motor homes invovled is1,502.

On the affected motor homes, the Romex wiring in the wiring raceway that leads from the floor to the roof through the refregirator cabinet may not be properly secured. The exposed wiring is in close proximity to the heated refrigerator coils. This condition creates points of possible wear due to vibration during vehicle operation and a potential for a thermal event, which over time could cause the 110 volt AC Romex wiring to short circuit. This could cause failure of the wiring routed to the microwave oven cabinet, possibly resulting in property damage, fire, or bodily injury.

A Gulf Stream dealer will remove the refrigerator from its cabinet secure the wiring, and return the refrigerator to the cabinet. In some cases, the wiring may need to be repaired and will require a repaire kit. The repair is expected to take two hours. However, because of service scheduling times, the service department may need the vehicle for a longer time period.

For more information, contact Gulf Stream Coach Inc, at 800-289-8787. Owner notification was expected to begin in
April 2012.
