Too all my fellow Super Nova owners. I'm planning a trip headed west on U.S. rt 50 Starting in Ohio, My destination is Placerville Ca. My reason for this post is to inquire as to how to best handle the down hill travel on the steep grades in Colorado. Some of these elevations are almost 14,000 ft, Do you guys that travel out in these area recommend using say 2 gear and light braking along with frequent stops to cool brakes . Since an engine brake is not on the motorhome I'm just worried about the down hill travel. I've been out west in my old small class c and really cooked the brakes and was told to use the lower gear ranges to save brakes. It seems like it will be hard to keep the engine rpm down when it's in 1st or 2nd gears. Any help from the owners, and mountain travelers would be extreamly appreciated and would make my nights more restfull If i had some good information as to how all you guys handle the mountains. Thanks in advace for any and all Ideas , recommendations. Rob and Edna. Peddaling west in Sept, Oct
