Hi gang,

We're cruising along nicely into Colorado. We've put about 800 miles on our '08 Crescendo 324 Fred so far.

I'm wondering what the mode button does on the Arens shifter?

The red LED comes on. I'm guessing it's for an Economy setting but hope to find verification here.

Thanks!

Yes, when you are cruising down the road and you press the mode button a red led light will light up letting you know that you are in economy mode. What that actually does is delay the shifting to prevent the engine from shifting down too much and the rev's go up using more fuel.

But in all honesty I really have not noticed that much difference on mine. LOL

Seems like you guys are having a great time. We will be leaving on our month trip on the twentieth. Can hardly wait. Our trip will be up to the Tahoe area.

Thanks Ray,

My research says it's best for use in hilly or mountainous areas. No effect on flats.

There's no info at all in my owner's packet. Just mode is set by OEM then nothing else.

We may do Tahoe next year. We were there about 10 yrs ago and it was fantastic!
