Hello, I'm new at this so I figured this would be the best place to ask, I purchased a 2008 Gulf Stream Endura and would like to pull my vehicle which is a 2012 Honda CRV. I would like to know if any of you have experience pulling the same type of vehicle and what I should watch for or do? I purchased my two bar and base plate along with all the wiring and cables, I'm still look for a break buddy system... so please if you have any experience pulling the CRV please let me know, greatly appriciated.

Thanks

I don't tow a CRV but friends and many others do. Main thing is to follow the instructions in the CRV owners manual. When you get your braking system, be sure to hook up the break away switch. It applies the brakes should everything become disconnected. Might save the lives of those in the oncoming lane. Periodically inspect everything in the towing system including the bolts that hold the base plate to the CRV frame.

IRV2.com has a whole forum dedicated to toads and towing.

Have fun,

Yesterday, I had the to tow a ford icon with my baleno. This was the second time in the past 7 months. The distance towed:
1. 70kms from maddur on mysore road to bangalore.
2. ~40kms from hoskote to frazer town, bangalore.

Now I am beginning to wonder about the impact of this activity on the car chasis....

From the car's maintenance perspective ( my baleno ) was it the right thing to do?
