Water Pump still noisy after installing supression kit

I purchased and installed a water pump noise suppression kit, but the extremely loud pump "growl" is the same. Didn't want to spend extra $ and install an after market if the one that came with my Vista Cruiser is still functional. Any hope or will I need to upgrade to a better pump?
