I have a 1995 Gulfstream Friendship 102 with 4 broken basement door latches. The pot metal tabs seem to break for various reasons. I've searched and cannot find replacement parts. Does anyone know of a replacement part or how to find one? They are rectangular, about 2x4" with a circular push in button. Some have locks, some do not. Thanks.

Hey 95GulfFShip102
I sure hope someone can answer this post. I have an 03 Yellow Stone with the same problem. I actually switched the propane bay and one that was broken just so I could close it, I too have googled and searched all over to no avail. I thought I had found some teflon replacement but they were the wrong size.

Not sure exactly what you guys have, BUT! I have had some problems with the one on my coach UNTIL I replaced the pot metal part with a steel part that I made using strap metal about 1/8" thick. Got the old part, laid it on top of the medal and traced it with a pencil or marker, then I just ground it into shape. Have not had any problems since.

But the reason why they break is because lots of RVers slam the side compartment doors and the pot medal just will break. You got to close the door slow and then just tap it a little and you will not have problems.

Have you tried calling Gulf Stream parts department. That's were I got my replacement latches, after spending days looking on line. I would order more than you need for back up.
Hope this helps.

I checked my local RV supply place here in Phoenix, Al's RV, and their parts department called Gulfstream and got the part number and they ordered me some. I should have thought of this first. The part is a SouthCo C5-23-45 (with lock). If you search for this on the internet you'll get additional numbers (e.g. with or without locks, etc.) and the names of distributors (e.g. Dean Lewis Assoc). I paid about $62 a piece plus shipping and they are available starting at about $25 or so. I'd try the direct route. I have mine now and they work well (i waited to get mine before posting this).
