Newbie here. Getting ready to take our first road trip in our new (to us) motorhome. Thinking of replacing the original radio with one with navigation and SiriusXM combo radio. Do not want a flip one. Would like an indash unit. I am unable to find one that is specific to my International 4200 truck for simple plug in. Any suggestions? Hoping not too involved, or will purchase a unit and have it professionally installed.

The stock radio in my 2007 Supernova 6400 on the IH 4200 chassis has a decal on the front saying it is satellite ready; meaning you can buy a small adaptor unit that will add the Sirius XM capability to your radio. A quick search on the Sirius website has a menu that you can search for the make/model of the radio and it will tell you what adaptor will work. I had my radio out a few weeks ago, adding an extra 12v outlet, and think it was manufactured by Delphi, I don't recall what model. The radio is very easy to pull out. You can see 4 holes, one in each corner of the faceplate, and all you need to do is depress a detent in each of those holes all at the same time. I took a wire hanger, cut 2 straight pieces about 6 inches long each, and bent them into a squared off U to fit the height of the holes on each side of the radio. Push the wire in, and pull out on the front of the radio and it slides right out. To reinstall, remove the wires you used to remove it, and slide it back in until you feel it click.

When I got my rig, it already had a Sirius XM radio in it as a separate unit that plays through FM. I bought a second car kit for it, and take it from my rig to my Jeep that I tow, which is also my daily driver.....Hope that helps.
