We are new to the world of Rving and purchased our 2010 Sun Voyager in February. On a recent trip we put lights on the awning and plugged them into the outside receptacle in the lower front compartment. There is no power to the outlet. We have checked all the GFCI outlets, fuses, breakers and everything seems to be working except the outside outlet and the porch light. I don't know if the two are somehow connected. We have replaced the outlet in the compartment but is acts the same as the original, neither would reset with the test button.
Looking for suggestions on how to remedy the problem.
Thanks!

If the outlet is a 110 volt, then it is powered by AC which means you have a circuit breaker tripped, not a fuse. Only DC power outlets would lead you to a fuse somewhere.

Thanks for our reply... but the circuit breakers have been checked, nothing is tripped. Right next to the outlet is a cigarette type plug which works. we are beginning to think that it isn't wired properly.

It is possible that the outlet is bad. Take a volt meter or even one of those test lights and check to see if you have power on the wiring. The outlet you describe as a cigar lighter is actually to plug in a small air compressor to fill bicycle tires etc, or a portable radio plug in. I assume that is what you have.

We think the outlet is not receiving power. Not sure if it is wired wrong but when we replaced it the new one did the same thing.
Thanks

Hi, I've been experiencing the same issue with my 2000 Tourmaster since I purchased it 3 years ago. The basement electrical would work, then it wouldn't. The basement electricity is tied to the GFI electrical outlet beside the bathroom sink. Sometimes this GFI plug was thrown & other times not.
I now have it resolved:

It was a faulty GFI plug. I replaced it 3 weeks ago and now have full time power below.
