Winter Camping

Just picked up the Conquest. Spent the night near Denali at -38 F. Everything seemed to work well. Decided that rather than winterize with Antifreeze, I hooked up my air compressor and blew out all moisture. Seemed to work well. any other pro's or cons to that techinique?
Tomorrow I will install a battery warmer, oil pan heater, and frost plug heater on it.

Any recommendations on cailk/sealant for the roof? I supposes something that is self leveling would be best....your thoughts?

Darn if you didn't pick a subject that I can't offer any comments on, other than, HOLY COW, I'm impressed at staying in a MH at nearly -40F... and living to tell about it! You Alaskanian's are tuff!

Did you also get the icemaker line dried out? How about all the sink & shower traps?

Are you now storing your unit for the rest of the winter? I'm wondering if it's good to try to apply any sealant at the kind of temperatures you're experiencing.

See, I didn't have much to offer other than true amazement at the temperature you were able to endure. Was your heat source just gas, or additional electric heaters?

Well, I picked it up, (just bought) in Anchorage, which is substantially warmer at this time of year. I kept the motor running, (overnight) and just used the propane furnace. The system is dried out (winterized) So i pee'd outside, :), today I added a frost plug heater, oil and transmission pan heater, and a battery warmer. Took me a totla of 5 hours and cost me about $80, to include anti-freeze, will be happy to talk anyone through it if necessary. Fires right up after sitting in the driveway at worse than 40 below. Now I need a compass cuz the sun is down alot here...ya'all don't need to be afraid of winter camoing. ;)
