The winegard inmotion sat finally went out. I am replacing with a new Dish Playmaker Sat dome. It is quite smaller than the winegard unit.

1. What is the best product to use to clean the fiberglass roof with so the dicor and butyl tape stick to it but doesn't harm the fiberglass ?

2. How thick is the fiberglass roof ? any wood substructure for screws to bite into? Is the fiberglass thick enough to provide a strong attachment ?

3. Installing on a 2007 Crescendo 8386 Any hints or tips you wish to share?

Thank You
Johnny

Follow up: I was able to connect the new dish dome to the cable coax input in the electric bay where power cord is. (for some reason couldnt get the sat coax to work) Then realized you have to have the antenna booster off (no red light) to get this to work. As a bonus using Y rca splitters i was able to have the rca cables coming out of the Dish Wally split with 1 pair of sound going to the switch box for the 3 tv's and the other end going into the sony surround sound. So now i have satellite tv in front and bedroom with only 1 Wally. Wife is very happy!

I really did not want to drill holes in the Crescendo's roof and as a benefit, the dome can be moved anywhere on the ground to avoid trees and obstacles that might block the signal.

Very smart decision.

We use a tailgater. Saw one before I bought a fixed mount and saw it's advantages. There are still times when it just isn't going to work. I wish I had the twin output version as mine has only one outlet.
