Schrader Valve Bad

I have a 1997 Tourmaster and I noticed one of the rear tires is low. I checked and the inner tire is at 80 lbs, all others are 100 lbs or so. I tried to add air but the valve would not open and when I tried to check pressure again, I could not get a reading. It looks like the schrader valve is stuck closed. I am thinking about removing the valve and replacing it, but am concerned that the tire may not inflate again (move off the rim). The outer tire should be able to hold the weight. Also, the valve will be a bullet once it comes out with 80 lbs behind it. Any thoughts on trying to do this myself or any other suggestions?

You would have no problem putting the coach on the jacks and unscrewing the valve with a valve core tool. It'll be a lot of pressure but you'll easily be able to grab the valve without it shooting you in the face. Ok, maybe eye protection just in case...LOL

The bead of the tire will stay seated no problem.

You have too much air pressure on the rear tires if you have over 100 lbs. It probably rides like if the tires were solid like a rock. I use only 90lbs on the rear and 100lbs in the front.

I just can't figure why you can not pump anymore air into that rear tire, unless you are using a compressor that is not capable of sustaining over 120lbs of air pressure in the tank. You got to have a good compressor to fill up those big tires. Mine are 22.5 265x75 Toyo tires.

My coach specifies 105 all the way around and the onboard tanks at 125 fill them easily.

Well, the tire issue is resolved but the reason is a little embarrassing. I finally got around to trying to replace the valve. I jacked the coach up, bought new valves etc. It turns out that the valve for the inner tire is an extender that simply came loose enough such that it was not contacting the valve on the tire. I tightened it up and everything is wonderful. I ordered a pair of valve stabilizers as well. Thanks for all the help.
