2005 Gulfstream Freindship G7 400 cummins air brakes Just had my front brakes replaced calipers, rotors, pads, now I have no brake lights any ideas? I checked all fuses none burned out turn & four way lights work.

I don't think one has do with the other. your brake lights work off of a air pressure switch that will be in the air line off the brake valve, but also check you turn signals and 4 way flashers as the brake lights pass thru those switches also, unless you have different brake and turn lights

They probably knocked the wire off the sensor when they were working on it. Call the mechanic/business you paid to have it fixed.

I would but I left Panama city FL. and drove to Kissimmiee Fl. when another driver told me I had no brake lights hard to get back with them now.

I’d agree with Fritz’s. Doubt that they have anything to do with each other. Brake lights work off switches not sensors.
You say you checked all fuses. Does that mean in the pass side rear compartment? Think that’s where you’ll find them.

All transducers, transmitters, and switches are sensors.

I was told the rear passenger side was for the house battery's that the left front under the driver was for all automotive 12 volt system. I have been trying to track down all grounds to clean and reattach no luck yet.

There is that switch/sensor near the brake pedal. When you push down on the pedal it makes the brake lights come on. Maybe it's different on your model though. Worth a look.

Do you have a lot of electrical stuff in that rear pass side compartment? If so, there are lighting fuses hidden in a Buseman fuse block. Send me a pm with your phone and I’ll talk you through it.

Other than that, air brakes are different in that when you use the engine brake, the brake lights come on. Obviously a “brain” that knows when the exhaust brake is engaged so that it can turn on the brake lights. Little more complicated than a gas engine system. I looked at mine this am and there is no switch visible near the brake pedal or it’s linkage.

That is my problem no switch near break pedal air breaks I'm told have a switch in the air line trouble with mine someone foamed the entire under side can't find anything. 2005 Gulfstream Freindship G7 400 Cummins, 6 speed, 2 stage exhaust break, cruise control .

Did you look in that rear compartment for the fuses? I have a lot of foam also but to date, nothing essential has been foamed over. More a mater of where things are located. A call to Gafney May be in order.

Yes I have checked the right rear compartment and reset the breakers and tested all other breakers. In side under the bed I have tested all breakers & fuses everything seams to be working.

But while in that rear compartment did you pull and check the fuses for the brakes, turn and running lights?

All turn lights , running lights, & break lights are in the front left compartment. I got a diagram from Freightliner to show me where the break light switch is supposed to be.
