2004 Crescendo with Guardian QuietPac 75D generator.

Generator will not stay running.

Intermittent in length it runs.

Sometimes it will only run for a few seconds, or a few minutes, or maybe 20 minutes.

Carries a load without issue.

Oil Pressure, High Temp or loss of 12V... Have not started to troubleshoot.

Wanted to through it out here to see if this is a common issue and would speed up my efforts.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like bad switch. Common problem. Good place to start.

Agree on the switch. Likely.

Another option would be to see if you have a fuel filter to your generator. When they get gunked up and the gunk moves around under pressure they it can't intermittently cut off fuel supply, which would shut down the generator. That being said, it likely wouldn't just cut out, but rather sputter out.

Lastly, many RV generators have an overheat sensor. If it is faulty, or for some other reason working properly and sensing an overheat condition, it could shutdown the generator.

We were told the generator has a shut off if your gas is too low, do you have enough gas in your tank. Sorry simple thought, but it was new to me.

Good point. They shut down at 1/4 tank.
