Did GS use a lot of foam for insulation underneath on the Class A's? Seems there are many places they have used it or is this something the previous owner used?

some of both possibly, as most manufacturers use spray foam to fill areas where wires and plumbing, etc enter the coach, or where there could be air gaps. Owners sometimes do this, too, once they find areas where the factory missed, but their foam is usually the typical 'yellow' foam, whereas most factories use a darker foam.
Use as much as you wish, or feel the need to, as it can't hurt - it gives you both better protection from the cold weather, and protection from many insects and varmints, like mice and chipmunks.

My coach has foam everywhere. It's not too hard to deal with.It was listed as an option on the build list. It was for a "quiet Ride". If I have to dig out an area I have used Great Stuff spray foam to replace what I remove.

Thank you for the great info. I just wasn't sure and now I understand it better. Now it's on to the Jack's problem. Thanks to both who replied.

Yes my coach has it every where. It makes for great insulation. We used foam insulation where I used to work for insulating everything from propane tanks to wine box cars which require good insulation. The only bad thing about over spraying at times is that there might be something under all that foam that might need changing out. Example: I have a stop light bulb that needs to be changed and in order for me to get that bulb out, I will have to dig through about four inches of dried up foam insulation. Other then that, I really like all the floor being insulated with that foam. Even under fender wells they sprayed that foam, and it does give it a real quit ride just like somebody mentioned on their post.
