The overhead interior LED fixtures in our 2017 conquest are far too bright and I would like to replace the bulbs with a dimmer version. But does anyone know how to get the covers off of the fixytures?

Pics would help. My LED fixtures simply pry off, if nothing else get some window tint and just tint the covers.

I have the same problem with our new 2020 BT Cruiser. There are two touch ring lights in the soffit above the bed, this model has a Murphy bed in the slide out. I would like to remount these lights in the side panels as the reach to turn them on/off is beyond my 33" arm reach. Gulf Stream engineers must wear welding helmets to bed as these "Landing Lights" will blind a person.
I have tried twisting the plastic lens cover to no avail so I tried gently prying the unit from its mounting base and succeeded in detaching from soffit with mounting screws attached!
Next step is to cut the wires and take this operation to the work shop.

Yeah I wasn't sure how these release and didn't want to cause damage

Update:
The covers just pry off. Gently. The bulbs are 15 light leds which explains the brightness. Now to find replacement covers or to insert something to dull the brightness a bit

Use some window tint to darken the lenses. I had the windows tinted on my TV, I also had the installer tint the gauges on the A pillar. The dimmer on the truck wasn’t sensitive enough for the LED display, the window tint works perfectly regardless of day or night or lights on or off.
