Can someone tell me where the drain is for the fresh water tank on 2020 BTcruiser 5240

Although I'm not sure on a 5240 exactly, but it seems that most BT Cruiser models like mine have the simple gravity drain right by the water tank itself. See this thread for more info: https://www.gsowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7041

How are you liking your 5240? I really like the looks of that model, but have never seen one in person.

On my 2020 5240 the drain can be reached under the side wall directly under the fill. It's a white plastic "pex" tubing with a twist valve.
Two ways to open or close valve, (1) get on your knees and reach under sidewall to feel for valve. (2) lay on your back and look up for valve.

I cut the tubing above the valve, installed a straight connecter and additional piece of tubing and reused the valve.

We also enjoy this model BT and we just logged 10K since purchase last May.

It has been great. So far my only concern is the open stairwell when the bed is down..don’t want to fall down there

I have a 2016 and it is in the center of the chassis. Needed to crawl underneath to get at this plastic valve so, like other here I added a pvc line and spigot to the outside.

I made a fix for mine after nite stumble in the dark. Sure did wake up FAST.
Made 3 pieces using 1" x 2" oak board, piece of 3/4" particle board, piece of carpeting to cover board.
Cut particle board to fit opening on top and inside of stairwell, cut piece of carpeting to cover board and contact cement the carpet to board, let bond for 24 hrs.
Cut first piece of 1x2 to fit back of stair well mitering the ends at 45, cut the 2 side 1x2's and miter the two ends that meet the back piece and chamfer the other ends by doorway.
Now the tricky part, you will need to make sure the carpeting surface is flush with the floor aluminum angles so you don't have a high or low spot, this involves some temporary bracing of the two side 1x2's or if you can hold all three pieces along the inside of the stairwell the better for marking. set your braced 1x2's in the opening and place the capeted board on top and adjust for floor height. I used 10 #10 1 1/4 counter sunk sheet metal screws to attach back and side 1x2's, 4 in the back and 3 on each side. Pilot hole the 1/2's and countersink. After drilling pilot holes I took the 1/2's and epoxy glued the back sides and quickley intalled them to the stairwell. Using a 1" hole saw I placed a finger hole about 1" back on the new cover closest to the door opening. Sprayed the new sideboards and stairwell with a coating of flat black. If you would like some picures let me know plus a tip on where to store your new floor board.
