Have you found the bypass valving on the back of your hot water heater? This is the way to "fill" your water heater (take out of bypass). As for emptying it, put valves in bypass and pull anode rod plug on bottom of the front of the unit (don't get wet :) )

I did, but it is very generic and says use the manual for the water heater. I have not found it online. I did that first.

I need to find where the water heater is on my model.

After I take it out of bypass, do I fill through the fresh water intake?

Hook up your freshwater, turn it on, go inside the camper and make sure the by-pass valves are in the correct position, then turn on a hot water spigot. That will get rid of the air in the line and allow the freshwater tank to fill. Do NOT turn on any heat to the water heater until it is completely full.

To empty the hot water heater, reverse the by-pass valves, let it cool. I open the pressure relief valve, then remove the anode rod. Make sure you completely wash out the inside of the hot water heater before putting the anode rod back in and close the pressure relief valve.
