Ok what was in it originally was a atwood 6 gal gas/electric , I put in a geriad tankless in just gas with 12v to spark start. The picture is how it was wired with the tank. I traced the wires from the switch to the tank.

okay perfect! that's my next upgrade, now not all of the wires from the old heater are needed, some models are 120v plug in so you shouldn't need 12v, if its not wired use the black, white, and ground... that's 120v system!!make sure you know your voltage for what your unit calls for. If it is 12v signal do not put 120v to it,, the units will not run unless they have flow, run the water to start the tankless. it may need to try a few times for initial startup to purge the lp line of any air.. i hope this helps

ps i should have mentioned if the unit is 12v, then you should not need 120v wires just cap them off

Thanks that is what I was thinking, the new tank just has +12wire an-12 wire an two wire that go to the control box. So I was just going to put a switch from the old switch spot with a new one ..... should I use the -12 line for my switch line

Two are 12vdc going to a switch; (maybe Red/Black?) most all controls are 12v, e.g. LP-Gas

If you also have 120vac elements/ controls, for when plugged in, or running GENerator, suspect that is the OTHER two wires (maybe black/white?) Good luck.
