Here's a cautionary tale.
Bought a new 2021 Gulfstream Kingsport 199DD from Optimum RV in Ocala. Buyer beware, this dealer is a crook! they tried a bait and switch by marking one down, posting it online, and tried to sell me a different one at MSRP, saying it was no longer available (they couldn't find it). When they did, they hemmed and hawed and tried to redirect me to more expensive models.

Apparently, the dealer switched the brand-new tires from the trailer, including the spare. I had two different tires on the trailer, one 3 years old. The older one had a slow leak, so I put the spare on just before a 1-hour trip south, planning on getting new tires ASAP. The spare blew just before we got there and ripped out the wheel well. The date code from the spare was 2017 and was visibly dry rotted in the tread sipes. I should have noticed, so it could have been avoided, but I know that trailer didn't leave the factory with 3 different tire ages and 2 different tire brands.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I had to replace the battery after 3 months because it was date coded 2016. On a 2021 trailer.:mad:

I suggest you report this unethical dealership to the Department of Consumer Affairs (it used to be part of the Department of Agriculture when I lived in Florida.)

That is disgusting and unfortunately not all that rare in the RV industry.

Good luck and hope you get to enjoy your rig in spite of this bad experience.

and thus the VALUE of the IRVIA paid PDI before settlement, even w/NEW? Sounds like many surprises to come?
