I located a source in Texas, Transmission Instruments, in Lewisville Texas

Great news Gulf Stream Family. I had an issue with a no start at ignition key and when started by remote switch; the unit would not go into drive or reverse. The instrument panel light was lit saying check Transmission. When this occurs no POWER is sent to the WTECH III Selector Controller.

6 speed Allison with the WTECH III Selector Controller. It was worth the 2.5 hr drive with Controller and Transmission Control Module (TCM) in hand. They benched tested both devices. The TCM was fine. The culprit was the WTECH III. Two Pins broke off in the Female side of the connector from the Male side of the Controller. Transmission Instrument Had an old harness from another Controller. They installed and bench tested the WTEC III with the TCM - They Worked flawless. I Reinstall on my 2003 GS Scenic Cruiser. It's Smooth Sailing again. I discovered Transmission Instrument on a RV Community Forum. https://www.transmissioninstruments.com/ (972) 353-8286.

Transmission Instrument - nothing but high praise. Because the wiring harness to the Controller was used part he did not charge me - but i gave him a piece of money for his technical expertise and my appreciation that avoided me a big tow bill and the cost of a new Controller and possible TCM at the local Freightliner repair facility.

Incidentally, I did call Freightliner. The Service Manager suggested a Tow Truck and a $165.00 hourly shop rate.
