I don't know about your year/model, but my 93 Ultra is very sparsely framed. There are inconsistently-spaced 1" aluminum(?) square tubular framing members throughout -- good luck finding them....

Interconnect switch?

Have you checked the interconnect switch? It goes between the house and chassis batteries. If on house mode, then everything DC should run off house batteries - and shore power will charge the house...
