I had a similar problem. No floor damage, but did have delimitation in a 2 x 4 ft area. I had metal wall studs so nailing to them was not an option. I wasn't comfortable with gluing. How long would the glue last as the rig flexed going down the road. I built a wood frame to fit my hole, Screwed it to the metal studs using self tapping screws, then nailed luan board to the wooden frame. Probably should have used staples. Nails pulled out quickly. I will use LOTS of staples next time. It's ready for paint or wallpaper now.

Just a side note on fixing the delamination. I removed as much of the damaged luan that the skin was glued to. Nailed luan board to the outside of the frame I built. Put contact cement on both the luan and skin, screwed it in place, then put as much pressure as I could from the outside. It's not perfect, but I’m the only one that can see it now because I know it's there. Gook luck with your repairs.
