Your best bet is to contact an RV salvage place like Colaw's Salvage in Joplin MO, and see what is available. They will still be expensive.
Alternately, if you haven't ruined the electric motor and controls, see if a local welding or fabrication shop can straighten, replace or repair your bent steps.
