There is a single allen bolt that sets the tension.

Position the mirror housing vertical and rotate to get center range on electric mirror then lock it down with the allen bolt

Don't be afraid to lean on it hard to lock it down, 35-40 ft lbs.

I dealt with this on my 07 Crescendo Fred.
