Default Re: Generator for my Amerilite

Well, I grunted and fretted and and finally bought the Yamaha 2400. That thing is great! I hooked it up to my camper and turned on the air conditioner and went out to check on the generator. It wasn't straining at all and was very quietly doing its job. Next I turned on a 1,200 watt space heater along with the air and it handled that too. Then I fired up our 700 watt toaster oven and that finally made the generator speed up, but it still handled all of that at once without overloading. Apparently those Yamahas can handle a pretty significant overload. Of course I don't plan to load it like that in the future. I'll have to say this was a good decision and money well spent. By the way, I ordered it from Wise Sales and got a good deal and friendly service too. I'd recommend them to anyone else looking for a portable generator. Thanks for the recommendation and Happy Camping!
