There is a mod you can do to a fixture that consists of a recirculation pump which will pump water from the hot water side back to the cold water side. This allows you to simply recirculate water through the tankless water heater until you actually get hot water. You push a button, the pump starts and recirculates water, a thermostat turns the pump off when the water is hot, and then you turn on your faucet with immediate hot water.
