OK, here is one for the "books" !!
Cruisin' thru New Hampshire on Secondary rds, great senary.
I smell anti freeze !! Temp gauge OK, then steam comes up thru the doghouse !! Get off check and sure enough major leak.
Call Good Sam ESP, 1-1/2 hours later mechanic shows up. Turns out this guy is good
Starts to remove the doghouse and then says "let me check something" ..... a knock on the floor .. " I found it and your not gonna believe this !!"
It seems that the "keeper" on the top radiator hose had
NEVER
been
RELEASED.
It had held for 17,000 mi. and finally blew off. SOOOO 1/2 hour later , i new
SCREW hose clamp and Five gallons of Anti-Freeze later I am back on the road !! :P
