I had read elsewhere in some reviews that the volume was limited for some in-cab environments. My old ears seem to have issues with low level speach when in background noise, so this might be an problem for me as well. Perhaps there is an output jack that can be used with an external amplifier/speaker, I should try to get my hands on a unit and read through the manual...
