Inverter turns on by itself

I have a 2006 Friendship G7 with a Xantrex 458. When checking on it I found the inverter was on. Turned it off and after a minute or so it came back on! After a couple of tries I disconnected the positive battery cable to prevent drain on batteries. Has anyone had a similar problem or have any ideas on where to start looking? Thanks!

Yes, thanks Chuck. Actually I got them from you the last time I had a problem with the xantrex.

Dennis -- guess I lost track of that being done earlier. Since I no longer have the coach (and had swapped out the Xantrex for a Magnum true-sine wave inverter a year before I sold it...) I don't have any direct experience with a 458 turning itself on. Thought the trouble-shooting section of the manual might be of use. Sounds like it could be a controller issue...

when parking make sure your master power switch is turned off and that will prevent that from happening. I'm guessing you have a AC powered appliance turned on and drawing power causing the inverter to run.

I have a small panel in my forward cabinet that controls the inverter, and on that panel I can control the charge, shared power and how many amps, you should be able to turn it off/on on that panel but that doesn't mean the location is the same in your coach

Mine is on the remote panel for the Xantrax. I believe it just says “Invert”.
