Default Fresh water draining connections

I have a 2011 Gulfstream Visa.
After a trip using the fresh water tank, we may park it for a few weeks before the next use. I want to drain off the fresh water so that i doesn't go off.
The drain points have screw-in plugs. I have to crawl under to remove them with a wrench, and I get soaked.
I want to replace the plugs with shut off valves. I thought standard garden hose types would work, but they are too large. Can someone tell me what size to look for?
Thanks. - Erny
