Default Propane while driving

Any informed opinions regarding running propane appliances while driving? My refrigerator is propane/electric. I’d like to be able to run it on propane while driving. We’re in AZ and the unit temps rise a bit after several hours on the road. (I understand that it should be turned off before fueling) Any other compelling reason why propane shouldn’t be on while driving?

Likewise, what about running generator while driving?

Thanks

You should not drive onto a gas station refueling island with any pilot light being lit!! Use caution when and if you use any propane appliances while driving...

50%, like me, will say it is no problem running the refrigerator on propane while driving, and the other 50% will say you will burn your RV to the frame if you do.

Navy,

I also ran my propane fridge in my small travel trailer under way going to hunting sites, etc. without issue, but was careful to turn the flame off when using a fuel island getting gas for the truck. Never had any problems with it staying lit either, but did keep the burner clean and free from debris -- and I will say that towing the little trailer on the forestry rock roads did shake out plenty of scale from time to time.

My Tour Master coach had a residential refrigerator, so no open flames while traveling with that...
