Default What is the silver box behind the fuse box in my 2004 bt5211?

Curious what the function of the silver box that sits underneath the inverter?
Still trying to troubleshoot the electric step!
Does anyone know?
Thank you so much!

If yours is like my 2005 5270 it is probably the battery charger for the house batteries while plugged into shore power or running the generator.

Default Battery charger upgrade

The silver box is the battery charger. Just replaced ours to support lithium batteries. There is also a metal box on top rear of the fuse box that is the transfer switch. Used for the power input from shore and our the generator.

Had a problem with our steps, turned out it was the magnet switch that senses the door opening. The ground wire to the switch was loose. When the switch closes when the door opens it completes the circuit to ground.
