Default 2000 Gulfstream Conquest Class C batteries??

2000 Gulfstream Conquest Class C

I'm having a problem figuring out the Chassis/Coach batteries. What is the function of the single battery under the stairs and what do the two in parallel do? Had a service guy tell me the single stair battery was running the whole coach but that's hard to believe.

Hi all,
I'm trying to procure a owners manual for my 1999 Conquest the generator was stolen and I need to find a replacement one to fit in the same space. I have no idea what size, brand or capacity.

Our 2006 had a 4K Onan before someone vandalized it

If you find a place that has new generators in stock, please let me know! The vandalism happened to our generator last summer, and we have been on an incredible amount of wait-lists waiting for a new generator ever since. Nobody will even talk about new generators to us until 2023. It's awful.

I would buy a Harbor Freight INVERTER - GENERATOR if you need one soon. Get an electric start and I believe they even now have remote starts so if it fits in the compartment it would be superior to most generators in that they are much more efficient and cleaner voltage and sine wave by their design. As for sizing,
wattage = 110 volts X's Amps so add up the amps of what you want to simultaneously run and multiply by 110 = size to look for I'd add 10% to that number just so its not working at full capacity when you are at full load. If the refrigerator runs off 110 which it probably does, then use compressor start amps, if not listed double the run amps number.

The refridg load is an example of what many generators refer to a "surge rating" vs run rating. Just looked they have a super quiet 3000 run watts 3500 starting for $800. It has electric start, but looks like you have to go to the panel to start it and filling with gasoline may be an issue. You will also have to get the proper 30 Amp outlet cord and modify it to hook up the 3 wires to your coach. Do able but just to give you an idea of the steps needed to do. Also you could hook up fuel supply to your main tank, but it will need a fuel pump. Don't know if the original generator had the pump on the generator or they used the vehicle fuel pump. But a 60 dBA noise level generator is really quiet and would be pleasant compared to the OEM one. Most generators in RV's start at 4000 watts and the big coaches will 7500 to 9000 watts. If you have anything 220 you are trying to operate be sure to note that when shopping.

The single battery under the passenger door step is the one that powers the truck cab, starts the engine, powers the cab heater/ac fan, radio, etc.
The two Chassis batteries power up the coach area. They power the furnace, refrigerator, ceiling lights, roof vent fans, and even power the control circuits for the AC units (the AC units are powered by 110V shore power, but the control circuits for them run on the 12V DC.)

Let me know if you still need a manual. Just bought a 1999 with all the manuals.
