Default Automatic transfer switch

Just curious if anyone else has had a problem with their transfer switch burning out and almost causing the coach to go up in flames!

There was a bad connection in the switch box on the hot #2 wire from the generator. The insulation had not been stripped properly and therefor made an incomplete connection at the terminal block when the set screw was turned down. Turn on Generator and increased amperage because of the connection turned it into an arc welder. Slowly but surly, faster at the end, destroyed the terminal block at that point.

Spoke with a master electrician and the fire marshall today and they both confirmed the above.

My wife and I are glad to still be here.
