Default power awning

We have the A&E weatherpro power awning (which of course like most everything else in our 2008 BT Cruiser came with no documentation). We wrote to A&E and got the manual to download because we understood it had a wind sensor in it and wanted to understand how it worked. The manual says the awning comes with a strap for emergency closures and gives directions on how to do so. It also says it includes an auxillary power cable to allow for use of auxillary dc power in case of emergencies. We did not receive the strap, nor the aux power cable.

While A&E has been helpful in providing the documentation, their stance is that the awning is provided by the manufacturer on the unit, so they should provide the missing items. Again (and again), like every other contact we have tried to make with Gulfstream in the past 8 months, our calls are not returned, our emails bounce back because the "gold" person we are supposed to contact no longer works there. Our dealer is in another state several hundred miles away and is not helpful with our problems with this unit.

Can anyone give us the name or email of someone at Gulfstream that maybe, might, perhaps, respond to us? The two major items we tried to get resolved when we first purchased we ended up fixing at our own expense because no one would respond. Finally the frustration just got to be worse than incurring the expense to fix the items. However, these are specific items we were due when we purchased and cannot seem to get from the people at A&E either. We are located in the greater Seattle Washington area.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

You are Lucky you are in the USA. We thought only non US buyers were treated like this by Gulfstream. Every problem we have had has been paid for by ourselves. Next RV purchase will we read forums ect ?you bet.GOOD LUCK THOUGH.
