Question Winterize issue

I have a 2021 BT cruiser 5210. I was winterizing this vehicle for the first time and I could not get any antifreeze to come thought the hot(red) low point drain. It came through the cold low point just fine. I by passed my hot water heater.
Has anyone else had this issue? I’m very open to suggestions. Thank you!

I found the antifreeze add hose under the plywood cover under the driver side bed. Two valves, close the one to the big water tank open the other to the draw hose. Need to remove the plastic cap on the end of the hose and place it into the antifreeze container. Turn the pump on and open each sink and shower.

How did you bypass the water heater? If you use the antifreeze fill it can only get to the hot pipes and the low point hot drain through the water heater.

To my knowledge, it is ill advised to run antifreeze through the hot water heater

That is not true at all. The bypass just takes the water heater out of the loop and directs water from the cold water inlet to the water heater directly to the hot water outlet of the water heater. It basically connects the hot water plumbing directly to the cold water plumbing.

It is, but BECAUSE IT will require an unnecessary extra 6-10-gallons of antifreeze

For the antifreeze I get to that particular drain valve the I believe the water heater bypass valve needs to be open. That is the way it works in my 2002 5210.

I agree with someone else on here it sounds like you don't have the bypass valve open on the hot water tank. You might have it shut off but it has to be able to go past the hotwater tank.
