Never heard of such a device. Googled it to see what it is. No mention of BTUs on their site that I could find. I didn't like the mention of cool moist air since cool, dry air feels cooler to us sweat producing animals. Plus, our RV air conditioning units remove moisture from the air.

Solid thinking. Best I can tell is all this device does is blow moist air at a person and the cooling comes from the evaporation of the water on your skin. At first I thought it was like the swamp coolers that were hung off a car window 60 years ago but they actually did reduce the temperature ever so slightly. I don't think these are that advanced.
Read reports on Chillwell A/C units. Said to be very effective and works well.
Has anyone used them and is it worth the $89 to supplement your RV A/C unit. Mine struggles in temps over 90.

You are blowing moist air into your rig as your ac unit removes the excess moisture from the air. Trick to making your ac effective is trying to be in complete shade, (or go to cooler climate)
It is an evaporative cooler. Pretty popular technology in the West, where the air is very dry. It does not work well in a humid climate, like the Midwest.
