Default endura gas mileage

We want to get an Endura 6340, have been considering all options, the one we can't decide is the diesel option. Anyone have MPG numbers for diesel and gas engines (real life) so as to figure out the payback period? thanks in advance for any replies.

I have a 2006 Ultra 6316, which is about 2 feet shorter but on the same Kodiak C5500 chassis. Mine has the 8.1L gas engine.

I get about 6.8 mpg towing a Honda Civic at 65 mph in flat country. Without towing, I suspect it would be about 7.5 mpg. YMMV, of course.

I have a 2004 endura 6340 and tow a 3/4 crew cab 4x4 diesel P/U and when fully loaded and towing near 10,000 lbs I drive at 58 mph. I get 5.9 mpg, I went on a trip this fall not towing and travelled fairly light I got 11.9 mpg. I have the gas unit.. it's for sale since I am looking at the tow hauler endura

Wow that's pretty good, we are planning on staying off the interstates and travel mainly "rural" highways, doubt we'll go over 55. thanks for your reply.

Don't know if you have purchased a 6340 yet. But we just got back from a 3000 mile trip to TX from MI. Our mileage was 9.7 mpg average for the whole trip towing a car & dolly that weighs 4000 lbs. We stayed close to 60 mph on interstate hwy's. We own a 2004 6340 with 14000 miles on it.

You don't say, but should we assume that you have a 6340? Perhaps a diesel?

Default Gas Mileage

My 6340 burns gas...it I have the 18' trailer on the back it gets around 9 mpg and will run 70 down the interstate. My Excursion gets the same mileage as the Endura with the trailer. Drove to Reno from Nebraska and it was much better in the MH.

I like the MH for comfort...it's a toss up.

Default fuel milage

Our 6340 Endura is a Duramax diesel towing a 4400# jeep and about half way loaded at 65 on the interstate 2750rpm on cruise got 8.85mpg I95 streight flat constant rpm as possible. Checked when not towing Jeep got 9.27mpg. These were both short trips have yet to check on a full tank to full tank, trip as you would on like a thousand mile trip.
